Your Photoclub Board of Directors is constantly looking for new programs of interest to you. Do us a favor and post suggestions for speakers and/or program topics so we will know where your interests lie.
Other users should feel free to post comments saying what they would or would not want that topic or speaker used. this is a good way to use the blog for dialog that everyone can participate in.

PHOTO BOMB
I just learned a new term from my great grandson and I don't like it! Photo Bomb or Photobomb refers to the extra face or other unwanted gesture or body part sneakily displayed in a photo to purposely ruin it. Think about the old rabbit ears trick run even more amok. They even have a web site glorifying this practice.

I fear this means we will see even more of this irritating and despicable practice. If you see it happening, put it down if you can. Ruining photos that should be keepsakes is not funny; it is stealing precious memories that many times cannot be replaced. Unfortunately, this isn't limited to children; it is also practiced by adults with childish minds.
If I haven't made it clear, this practice irritates me no end. Look at the link above for examples.

INFORMATION FROM JANUARY SPEAKER
J.P. Leemans spoke to us in January. He was asked about his camera and did not remember the specifics. I have uploaded 4 of his images so those who did not attend can see a sample of what they missed.
He has advised me by email that he uses a Canon EOS 40D with a Canon EF 28-135 zoom lens. This lens has a maximum opening of f3.5 to f 5.6 depending on the zoom interval.
